چکیده

Background: The burden of cataract and glaucoma has been increasing. Primary angle closure occurs as a result crowded anterior segment anatomy causing appositional contact between peripheral iris trabecular meshwork. Lens extraction proposed method deepening chamber managing intraocular pressure. Purpose: To assess changes in depth after phacoemulsification with lens implantation narrow eyes. Design: Prospective controlled trial (before-after) study. Method: study was conducted from March 2015 to August 2017 among the patients department Ophthalmology BSMMU who were diagnosed angles. Anterior grading 2 or less (Shaffer grading) 3 more quadrants considered (NA). purposive type sampling technique applied collect sample population, per inclusion exclusion criteria. Complete clinical evaluation including history, physical examination, relevant ocular examinations systemic performed. In this prospective study, subjects underwent foldable implantation. A scan ultrasonography performed preoperatively 10th 30th postoperative days surgery. Results: Thirty eyes 29 included male: female ratio 1:1, an overall mean age 62.03 ± 8.95 years. preoperative central ACD 2.95 0.35 mm. At POD 3.94 0.32, 3.92 0.28 mm respectively. Mean increase at final follow-up 0.96 (p < 0.05). Conclusion: Phacoemulsification posterior bag can deepen Based on these findings, it is concluded that effective tool chamber.
